Research Interests
My primary research interests are in designing and implementing power conversion circuits. In power conversion systems, my research focuses on developing compact and efficient next-generation power electronics and extend this work to wireless power transfer for electric vehicles, biomedical devices, and industrial applications. Also, I am interested in developing and utilizing wide bandgap devices in high-power resonant converters operating at high frequencies.
Ph.D. Open position for Fall 2020
I am looking for motivated graduate students who are interested in power electronics, power semiconductor devices, and wireless power transfer for emerging applications such as renewable energy systems, EVs, biomedical devices, robotics and plasma generation.
Prospective graduate students
If you are interested in my research, please submit your Ph.D. application and specify my name in the application. You can find general information about the ECE graduate program at UMN on this website (https://sites.google.com/umn.edu/eceadmissions/).
